3rd and 4th graders....Are you working on your speech sounds? If you are working on improving your /s/, /th/, or /r/ sounds, don’t forget that there are plenty of games and activities linked on my website that you can use for home practice.
You’ve heard this before, but I will keep saying it again and again: Improving your speech is a lot like playing a sport or a musical instrument: you won’t improve if you don’t practice.
Try these activities:
*Find a page in a good book. Look for the target sounds in each sentence before you read it. Read the page using your sounds as best you can.
*Look in a newspaper grocery store ad. Find ten products with your sound in their names, and say
their names aloud to your parent, using your target sound or sounds as best you can.
You can do it!
