Fascinating Facts about SLPs (and Mrs. Reed, too)!
Mrs. Reed’s ‘official’ title is “Speech-Language Pathologist”, or “SLP” for
short. She grew up in Ohio and went to college there, too. |
SLPs work with people of all ages to improve their skills in understanding the language that they hear and read, and in using language to speak and write effectively.

SLPs work with people who have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds, people who have stuttering problems, and people who have difficulty with their voices because of medical issues or abusing their voices.

Mrs. Reed works with many students at Half Day School, in both third and fourth grades. She has worked at Daniel Wright school, and with preschoolers, too.
